Tails of Hope: The Story of Candy Corn

We’re excited to announce that one of our shelter cats, Candy Corn, was adopted into his furever home.

Candy Corn was brought to our shelter in August of last year in need of a new furever home with owners who were understanding and patient.

He spent 165 days at the shelter searching for a family to call his own and

winning over the hearts of all the volunteers.

There was only one problem: Our veterinary staff diagnosed Candy Corn as diabetic.

Because of this condition, he requires a long-term special diet.

Due to the special accommodations needed to be made by his future adopters, he was constantly overlooked.

After constantly featuring him on social media posts and additional promotions at the shelter, Candy Corn finally found his perfect match.

The family understood his medical condition and wanted to care for him.

They knew he deserved a furever home just as much as any of the other cats.

We’re happy to say that he’s doing well in his new home.
