We are so excited to announce our first ever Virtual 5K to benefit abandoned and abused animals.
Your registration feeds a dog in our shelter for 2 weeks!
All registrations completed by September 8, 2020 are guaranteed a t-shirt. We will try to supply t-shirts to late registrants, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee them.
If you register a group of 4 or more people, you have the option of adding a team name to the back of your t-shirt. Think about inviting co-workers, friends, neighbors, family, school study groups, sports teams, etc. This is also guaranteed if you register by September 8th!

What is a Virtual 5K?
This is an event that you can safely do wherever you are and whenever you would like. You can walk or run or complete your 3.1 miles or 5K at your leisure. Are you competitive? Enter your times online and see how you stack up to the competition.
What do I get for my registration?
First, if you register before September 8, 2020, you are guaranteed one of our super cool t-shirts. We also have some swag bags and of course, you are helping abandoned and abused animals.
What if I have a group?
Even better! As a group of 4 or more, you can get your team name on the back of your t-shirt. So grab your co-workers, friends, neighbors, family, school study groups, book club, sports teams, etc. and create a team. You must register before September 8th to be guaranteed t-shirts and your team name on the t-shirt.
- If you are a team captain, you can set up your team when you register.
- Your teammates can register individually and select your team.
How and when can I pick up my t-shirt?
The shelter will be open for a safe, contactless t-shirt pickup process. We are located at 11350 22 Mile Road, Utica, MI 48317. We will contact you to let you know the dates and times the bags are available for pickup and provide more instructions then. Currently, we are planning to have the t-shirts available starting on September 22nd, but we will be sure to let you know. If picking up at the shelter doesn’t work for you, reach out to our Race Director and Events Manager, Andy, at hsomevents@gmail.com.

What does the t-shirt look like?
It is a nice, soft t-shirt with the event logo on it. See the mockup below. We will have team names and the logo for the Humane Society of Macomb on the back. Don’t miss out on getting your limited edition 5K for K9s t-shirt!
