We are Open by Appointment Only Beginning March 18, 2020
Our first and foremost responsibility is to the animals in our care who would not be able to care for themselves in case of an emergency or a mandated evacuation. We are also very concerned about the safety of our employees, volunteers and visitors to the shelter.
Effectively immediately we will be open for appointments only. This applies to all services including donations, adoptions and our pet food bank. To make an appointment please call the shelter at 586-731-9210.
In addition, we are suspending all surrenders and not accepting additional animals, at this time, to provide the best care for our current residents.
We are expanding our pet food bank to those experiencing hardships as the corona virus has changed so much about our daily lives. If you need help feeding your furever friends, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We will do what we can to get us all through this together.
The shelter is open from 10 am until 4 pm Monday thru Saturday. Please contact the shelter to set up any appointments at 586-731-9210.
