We are excited to introduce you to an extraordinary friend who’s had a rough start to life and is looking for a second chance! Sammy is looking for someone who is knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about giving dogs the opportunity to thrive.
So, who is Sammy?
Great question! Sammy is an eight-month-old Mastiff puppy who has spent her ENTIRE life in a shelter. We do everything we can to ensure shelter life is as stress-free and comfortable as possible, but some rescues, like Sammy, cannot fully relax when surrounded by other animals.
There are many scents, sights, and sounds that come with shelter life, and, as a result, she is overstimulated by her environment. This is the only world she’s ever known, and she has developed a few behavioral issues.
Now, her story does have hope! She has responded extremely well to training. Our resident dog trainer, Michael, has made fantastic progress with training through her triggers.
Sammy has made significant progress so far, but she needs to be in a different environment before she genuinely thrives.
How can you help?
Sammy needs an experienced dog owner willing and able to invest time in her and continue her training in a calm, structured environment. She genuinely is a sweetheart under her nervous energy and would thrive with a consistent home routine and continued training.
Michael, our dog trainer, will meet with you and provide support to ensure you and Sammy are set up for success!
Are you an experienced dog owner who can provide the one-on-one attention she needs to grow? Do you know someone who can?
